ROYAL ARTS ACADEMY NOW OFFERS NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN FILM & TELEVISION PRODUCTION

the foremost name in film making in the country has just added another
feather to her cap. The school has been accredited by the Federal Government
through the National Board for Technical
Education to award students, a 2
year National Diploma in Film and Television production. This information was relayed by popular film
maker and proprietress of the school, Emem
Isong Misodi who was most delighted
at this new development.

Hear her; 'My
dream when I set up the school 7 years ago, was to train people who had the
interest and talent to make positive impact in Nollywood. By now being enabled
to award them Diplomas, is the icing on the cake and a very important step that
will take the school to the next level'.
In view of this, a newly appointed Rector has also been appointed to handle the day to
day running of the school which is now accepting applications for the 2018/2019
session this October.
Royal Arts Academy was founded seven years ago and
ran a three month acting and directing course that has gone on to produce
several talented and promising actors, actresses, producers and directors that
are currently making waves in the entertainment industry.
Admission requirements into the Royal Arts Academy for the two-year National Innovative Diploma in Film and Television Production 2018/2019
session are thus:
1. Candidates
with 100 points and above, in the current UTME {JAMB}, and who possess five
credits in SSCE, GCE, NECO and their equivalent at not more than two sittings.
English Language is compulsory.
2. Candidates
with one year certificate in Music, Film and Television Production, Media Arts,
Mass Communication, Performing Arts, Creative Arts, etc, or relevant discipline
in humanities or science may be admitted. But they MUST possess five credits O’
Level at not more than two sittings and these MUST include English Language.
3. Graduates
of any discipline {OND, HND, B.A/B.Sc, B.Tech, NCE,} in Humanities {Arts},
Management, Social and Natural Sciences with five credits in O’ Level subjects
which MUST include English Language can apply.
4. Matured
candidates with over 30 years of age, who have evidence of the field practice
may be admitted with four {4} credits at O’ Level but they MUST possess English
Language.

3. Cinematography
4. Broadcasting
and Presentation
5. Acting
for Screen
6. Editing
7. Producing
and Production Management
8. Graphics
and Designs
9. Costumes
and Make-up for the Screen
10. Use
of Sound and Lighting Equipement
