TOUCH A LIFE CHARITY HOLDS 1ST PUBLIC SPEAKING& MATHS-SCIENCE QUIZ! IN LAGOS
Touch A Life charity recently held the first of its zonal Lagos State TAL Public Speaking competition and the Maths-Science Challenge for Government secondary schools recently in Lagos. All government secondary schools in Ikeja, Mushin and Oshodi-Isolo zones participated in last Wednesday's program and 5 zonal winners emerged for the public speaking while 15 winners were picked for the Maths-Science competitions. They will represent their zones at the finals in July.
The children were quite impressive as they spiritedly debated and argued on the topic; 'Nigeria, Arise & Shine' I must say I was quite impressed with the girls in the competition who obviously did not come to play! They made spirited and quite genuine points, demonstrating and gesticulating to the delight of the crowd present.Indeed it was easy to spot the future lawyers, public speakers, even politicians and actors among them.
Many thanks to the TAL members Mrs Bolanle Ogbodu, Mrs Yanju by Olomola and Dr Dupe Oludipe whose contributions made the last event possible. Thanks to the all the volunteers and as well as panel of judges: Mrs Kemi Ashiru, Mrs Toyin Seriki,Mrs Thomas, MC /Comedian Honey Tongue and Publicist/Film Producer, Bola Aduwo. TAL which is the brain child of Dr Bose Durojaiye is a charity organisation that reaches out to the more vulnerable people in our society with the aim to afford them opportunities to be able to meet up and eventually contribute meaningful to their environment.

For an update on the activities of TAL:
They have just concluded the TAL 2018 scholarship selection process and were able to select 42 awardees who now have their scholarships fully sponsored by 30 TAL Enablers both in Nigeria and diaspora.The TAL shelter has become an initiative that meets the needs of low income workers who are unable to access normal rental accommodation.
